The Dixie County Board of County Commissioners is updating the way the public can listen to and participate in BOCC meetings by phone.
Beginning with the next BOCC meeting, the County will no longer use the previous FreeConference call‑in number. Instead, all public call‑in access will be provided through the County’s Microsoft Teams Audio‑Only meeting system.
This change improves:
Updated call‑in details will be included on all future published agendas, on the County website, and on posted notices.

The Suwannee Water and Sewer District anticipates applying for Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support long-term restoration, facility hardening and mitigation efforts following the 2023-2024 storms. This program is administered by the Florida Commerce Department through the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program. The Department of Environmental Protection gives notice of its intent to issue a Joint Coastal Permit and letter of consent to use sovereign submerged lands (File No. 04577141-001-JC) to Dixie County Emergency Management, 17600 SE Highway 19, Cross City, FL, to repair 320 feet of shoreline along Shired Island Beach Park. The approved upland sand source is the Dixie County Dredged Material Area (DMMA).
